The true joy of Christmas

Once again the air is filled with the message of Love,
Joy and Peace. Yes, it's the beauty and glory of
Christmas time. As we come to the end of 2006 years
since the lord's death (A.D), God greatly wishes to
speak to us about his plan and purpose for us.

God made us in his own image (Genesis 1:15). This
means to say that man has the absolute free will in
choosing to do anything he wants. Man also has a
spirit that comes from God apart from his physical
formation.

"God formed man from the dust of the ground, and
breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man
became a living soul." - Genesis 2:7

Man's spirit never dies and will never cease to exist.
It's only the body that goes to the grave but the
spirit is judged by God.
God also says that the first man Adam chose sin, and
chose to obey satan; hence sin has entered the world.
None of us are righteous and all have sinned and come
short of the glory of God.

Have you heard of the song "The spirit never dies" by
Masterplan ? The king and lord of todays world is
Satan. He has changed the world into a nightmare, full
of drugs, sex, addiction, suicides, and slaughter. It
won't be long till the younger generation starts
satanic worship, drinking blood and being demonic
(study the life of Ozzy Osbourne). Satan knows that
the spirit never dies and wants to take your spirit to
eternal destruction.

How then can we be satisfied? How can we have that
peace with God? How can we get rid of that sin that
the devil tempts us with? This is where our spiritual
hole lies. We are never satisfied, we can never rest
in peace.

Bill Gates may be the richest in the world but when
asked in an interview; what his fears were, he
replied, "I fear about staying ahead of the
competition". Harrison Ford, the most successful star
was making a peak of 1.2 billion for a movie, the most
richest star ever. Even though he had everything, he
said "Man always wants that which he does not have".

The fact of the matter is that Man can only find peace
when he knows and seeks God. His spirit needs to have
that union with God but since we are sinners this is
not possible. The only message of peace, love, joy
comes from the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ who was
born of a virgin, lived without sin and died on the
cross to wash our sin. He rose again the third day to
prove that we too would rise if we believed in him. If
we believe in him, we have eternal life. O Death?
Where is your victory?
Yes, Death has no command over those who believe and
want to follow the Lord Jesus, for by dying our spirit
goes to the Lord. At the end of times, when the Lord
comes back, our body shall rise again and stay with
the Lord forever.

The Lord Jesus said,
"It is the spirit that gives life. The flesh profits
nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and
are life." - John 6:63

"I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me shall not
hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst."
- John 6:32-35

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone
hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to
him and will dine with him, and he with Me" -
Revelation 3:20

God has given us the free gift of eternal life through
the Lord Jesus at Christmas. Remember, the best things
in life are for free. The air, water, our health and
most of all our Eternal life.

death on the cross which God reminds us of at
Christmas.
